"Will," she pressed a finger on his lip, "we’re convicted of murder, running from the British calvary, and hiding in the mountains. Maybe we’d best not get carried away."

"I ache for you… I know there’s something important about where I met you before… and don’t tell me that it isn’t true. I know it to be right."

He kissed her again and she stared wistfully off into space. He followed her gaze to the constellation Scorpio. "If only things weren’t so complex…"

"What’s so complex about this moment?"

She stared at him, trying to judge if he was ready. He pulled back from her to sit on his haunches, confused. "Are you trying to imply that I’m not ready to be told? Because I am."

"But Will! You don’t know what I’m about to tell you…" she rose, trying to make him understand.

"Then tell me."

"Will."

"Tell. Me."

"Fine." She sighed and lay back down. Will crawled over to look into her face.

"I’m pregnant."
