Silence and Solitude
Silence and solitude
Seep into the marrow
Crawling through the bones
Swimming through the blood.
The eyes remain open
Attentive
The mouth remains shut
Silent.
The body walks along
An old deserted path
Known as home
Life
Family.
Faces stare out
Behind trees
On the ground
Half engulfed in shadows.
As the soul walks on
The faces turn
One by one
Away.
The eyes
Watch the forms
Glad of solitude
Yet scream in pain.
This path
Home
Family
Love
Life
Continues on
Faces lining the side
All
Turning
Away.
Silence and Solitude
Remain.
