~Jonas~

Fear
And the scent of concrete
Steel and dust
Flashing lights
Rust, cars
And white stairs
Lead up to nowhere.
Where my feet will take me
I do not know
But he leads us
Like a hunter
Leads his hounds.
They hesitate
But I know this man, this boy
Strange smile, cocked hat, and danger on his breath.
(He has your eyes, my dear)

I would go with him
Wherever he asked me
With that carefully-hidden souvenir
Of my old life
Sold as a ransom
To him, this god of chance.
They all have something to love in him
But he is mine alone
His strange passion
His stunning brutality;
His hands move in cold caress
And I kiss him with parched lips.

Jonas.
Mystery.
Reveal your secrets.
I am ready.
