MEETINGS

Shimmering breeze, verdant with cliff top meadows, mingles with seaweed and salt seasoning to kiss the genial sun. A blue grey silk sea, light spangled, blends seamlessly into cobalt sky, and firm brown strand at waters lapping dries to pale yellow siftings, chalk cobble tumbled and striated with the wrack of late storms.

Inland white cloud confections froth on flat grey platters, and shrieks of swifts’ dip and dive in perfect formation, skimming land’s white boned, brown fleshed, precipitously faced border.

Wagtail curtsies to a trawl of seagulls at ocean’s retreating boundary and summer sweeps in to usher spring away.
