Sometimes what you see scares you

you can't trust your eyes

the world is fuzzy and shallow

as if the light is gone

and your eyes have not adjusted yet

you are driving, pushing forward

you know what you are looking for

you can hear it

but you don't know where it is

you can't taste it, feel it

and you want to

but your eyes don't show you

what you want to see

they only reflect from your memories

and you run around

thinking you are seeing,

but you see black

and your mind creates the image.

you hear it in your ears

it rings with painful moaning

and your head spins and your life twists

you know you can't adjust

this is your home,

but you only know it from memories

in reality

your eyes are black

but you run, and your home

suddenly scares you

you look, and the sound intesifies

but the trees block your way

the sky blocks your way

fate blocks your way

but you tell yourself,

i won't give up,

you just wait for eternity until

the opportunity comes

when you can finally see it

but you seek it

and you want it

it transpires for you,

but the light is fading

and time is running out

you don't hear the sound anymore

and realize how hastily you ran

not seeing the consequences that would come

and you are stuck

you drift back into your memories

because there you don't feel alone.
