The church bells ring
As I run from the house
The beat resonating in my hollow heart
My thoughts running faster than my feet.
The grass, knee-high as I run through the field
I never knew what I was running from
Was it me, you or what the future could bring?
Freedom, my trusted friend,
The only voice I could hear
I was going to be free
The bells stop.
My mind and feet still running,
And the sun is setting,
As I hear you voice
Calling me back to you
But I still havent answered.
