[PS: Please notice the rhyme-that was damned hard to do.]
Mother, Mother, of the land
Who paints the colors of the sky
Who blossoms flowers by touch of hand
Whose breath pushes birds to fly
Whose tears glitter in the night
Whose blood is river, lake, and sea
Who alone holds the mountain's might
Who empowers the ken and the chi
Whose eyes are the sun and moon
Whose warm back is flowering field
Whose kisses bring petals to bloom
Whose kindness gives the harvest yield
Whose slender arm is stretch of beach
Whose golden hair is sun-kissed wheat
Whose head is crowned by vineyard wreath
Who has the hills as tender feet
Mother, Mother, of man and beast
Who grants and takes life as she sees fit
Whose generosity gives feast
Who raises lamb and colt and kit
Who nurses all from womb to pyre
Who gives food of water and grain
Who grants the power of thought and fire
Who brings the sun and brings the rain
Who makes the wild and the bright
Who bids the great eagles to flight
Who wields the day and molds the night
Who dispenses sunbeam and moonlight
Who grants beauty, life, and love
Who gives us purpose, tribe, and clan
Whose grace is pure as snowy dove
Who is the goddess of beast and man
Mother, Mother, of myself
Keep me safe now in this hour
Grant me happiness and health
Guard me with your love and power
Hold me in your caring arms
Like a babe, young newborn
Keep me from the dark and harm
Keep me snug and near and warm
Make me bold and lead me on
To find my path and walk my way
'Til my youthful strength is gone
By my last and dying day
You, Goddess, are my mother
Love me as I love you
Guard my life, and every other
From dawn 'til all is through
