you stopped dancing all of a sudden. i watch as your arms fall silently at your side. you lifted your face to the sky and i gasped as something fall down your cheeks. it caught the rays of the setting sun causing your cheeks to sparkle against the orange sky. you stood there, as still as mountains on the other side of the sea, your hair and dress flying in total abandon around you. yet you remain motionless, with the exception of the steady fall of tears on your cheeks.
it is then that i knew that you belong in the sky.
my feet sank softly in the sand as i made my way towards you. i watch your lips curve into a soft smile but you made no effort to wipe your tears away. turning around you started to run towards me. i opened my arms as i waited for you to fall into my arms. a smile brightening my face.
i enveloped you in my arms. you felt warm whereas you flinched a little when you felt how cold i am. i burried my face in the fall of your hair. i closed my eyes as i inhaled your shampoo. i wanted to remain like this forever. to never let go.
we remained like that for a long time. the first thing i saw when i opened my eyes are your amethyst eyes. i commented on how they sparkle much more than all the stars in the evening sky. your laugh reminded me a story we both cherish. the story of a little prince and desert.
i held your hand tightly as we stroll along the shore. your face glowed with radiance that rival that which of the moon. you face me and took my cheeks in your hands. you stood on tiptoe as you plant a light kiss on my lips.
