A/N: Well, yeah, it's been awhile, I know, and I'm sorry for that. I have a weird thing with writing... I have to be really upset to write even slightly decent things... I've kind of been losing where I'm headed with this story... but I'll just put it together as I go. This chapter slows down a lot, and loses a lot of the elements of the story, but I need to put a certain relationship together, because it's important to the story, so I thought a filler-ish chapter might be best.

Also, I want to tell you all that I may be changing my penname to RavenDream soon.

This chapter is dedicated to Mezi-Chan, for many, many reasons.

Replies to the Reviewers

Kitsune-sama- Yeah, it's meant to be twisted, lol. I was hoping I could do a good job at something twisted, disturbing, and angsty for once, since I'm not usually great with chapter stories. I'm glad you like it!

Arkaerial- Thank you muchly. I'm glad that you like it- I'm always afraid of writing chapter stories, because I'm worried they'll lose elements as I continue to update.

Little Azumi- Thank you for the review, even if the nature of the story isn't to your liking.

Ebony Moonlight- As always, your review means a ton to me, lol. I hope I can keep this story up to your standards. Thanks for reading.

Meg- Thanks for reading and reviewing. Yeah, I always wanna use mirrors in some way or another, but I still don't think I got it exactly how I wanted it.

The Rope Miko- I need to finish reading all your stories- you're one of the best writers I've read from in a long long time, lol. Thank you for reviewing and reading.

Kanako

Chapter 4

By Bunny-Chan

Kanako sat alone in her bedroom. There were no showings of the average teenage girl's quarters. No posters, no extra furniture, no pictures, nothing besides clothes and a bed.

She sat silently watching the wall as if it were showing her a movie.

Minako laughed.

"Give me a break, Usagi! That can't be true!" The two girls continued giggling, obviously lost in conversation.

Kanako watched from just around the school building's corner. Growling slightly, she had to hold back the urge to interrupt them, screaming bitter words.

Minako knew perfectly well that Kanako was watching them. She knew perfectly well that Kanako was raging with jealousy. That was how it appealed to her. Minako knew that heightening Kanako's desire for her would eventually work out in her favor.

She was selfish like that.

If it worked for her, then it was good enough. She didn't care who was hurt, what happened, or the consequences, as long as she came out on the good side at the end.

"I hate you..."

A flash of metal.

Tears falling onto the blankets.

Blood everywhere.

Kanako looked up, meeting Minako's eyes.

"I thought you loved me..."

"I did."

"I thought you'd never hurt me."

"You hurt me first."

"I never did anything to hurt you."

"You cheated on me."

"Liar..."

"You were going out with Usagi at the same time you were with me. You were unfaithful."

"And killing me was loyal?"

"It allowed you to be faithful forever... Now we'll never fight again."

"I'll see you in Hell, bitch."

Minako faded away, like a bad memory should, and Kanako was left alone again.

As soon as the schoolbell rang, Shizuka took off, running as fast as possible.

Please don't let him leave yet!!

She skidded through the hallways, crashing into random people as she went.

"Hey, watch where you're going!"

"Ah, I'm sorry, I'm sorry!"

Kanako watched as Shizuka ran by.

Where is she going..?

Curiosity prevailing as always, she followed the rushing teenager, keeping at enough of a distance to not attract attention. She had already figured out where Shizuka was headed: the 11th grade lockers.

Hiding behind the corner (which had become a habit of hers), she watched as Shizuka skid right to a halt in front of Sasuke's locker. Out of breath, she leaned against a nearby locker, to regain her voice.

"Sasuke-Kun! I need to talk to you..." The brunette boy smiled.

"Yes, Shizuka-Chan?"

Much like Shizuka, Mitsuki tore through the hallways the first chance she got, heading toward Sasuke's locker.

Today's the day. This time, I'm going to tell him!

But as she approached his locker, she realized that her friend was already talking with him.

"Sasuke-Kun, I like you, very much."

Mitsuki stopped suddenly, her bag falling from her hand.

"Sasuke-Kun, I like you, very much."

"No... This isn't what was supposed to happen..."

I was supposed to be there. I'm supposed to be doing what she is...

This isn't fair...

She stood there, and watched them walk away.

After what seemed like hours of stuttering and blushing, Shizuka finally said it.

"Sasuke-Kun, I like you, very much. I've been trying to hide it for awhile, but I like you a lot, and I want you to know that." Sasuke seemed shocked.

"I... I don't know what to say..." Shizuka looked down, embarrassed and red. "Walk with me, I don't have kendo today."

The two walked in silence, unaware of Kanako's eyes.

Something will need to be done about this... complication...

Hearing the sound of someone crying, she looked behind down the hallway, and saw a familiar pink-haired girl.

Aino Mitsuki. Shizuka's best friend.

Being as smart as she was, Kanako realized almost immediately why Mitsuki was so downshot and sad.

This could work out to my favor.

"Ah, Aino-San, what's wrong?" Kanako rushed to Mitsuki's side, feigning deep concern. "You look so sad, Aino-San..."

"I... This isn't fair..." Mitsuki sniffled. "She always gets what she wants. She's the pretty one, she's the one everyone likes... He'll never say no to her..." Kanako nodded sympathetically.

"Now you don't know that Aino-San. Let's walk home together, we can talk, ne?" Mitsuki nodded and the two walked down the hallway.

Like the perfect image of autumn, leaves fell endlessly to the ground, moved by the cool breeze. Only minutes ago, the sidewalk had been full of students on their ways home, but Sasuke and Shizuka's unhurried stroll had left them far behind their classmates.

They had been walking in silence since leaving the school.

Being as shy and nervous as she was, Shizuka wasn't even sure of what else to say without making herself look like a complete fool.

And of course, breaking the silence could make everything more tense, so Sasuke stayed quiet as well.

Somehow, ten minutes later, they ended up at a park, on the swings.

"Shizuka, I..."

Shizuka froze, entertaining all possibilities, both good and bad, within mere seconds. Which wasn't a good idea, seeing as it made her even more nervous than she'd already been.

"I'm sorry, but I only see you as a friend, Shizuka."

"Oh." There was nothing else to say. Everything was silent again. Finally though, Shizuka stood. "Walk me home?"

"Of course."

And they walked back, silent the rest of the way.

A/N: Ugh. I cannot stand this chapter. It's too... teenage-ery-ish, y'know? This wasn't written to end out like a soap opera or anything, but I really do feel that the relationship between Sasuke, Mitsuki, and Shizuka is extremely important the development of the story. I just hope I'm right.... :(

Anyway, sorry that this chapter wasn't as good as I'd like it to be... But I do hope you at least enjoyed it. Please review/comment. Next time more stuff will happen.
