Disappointed

To three friends of mine: You know who you are

You disappointed me last night
I'll come right out and say it
But I don't hate you for it
I'm not mad
I'm not horrified
I'm not depressed about it at all
What I am, is disappointed
You said for me to call you
And I did
The line was busy, so I decided to call back
And I did
I got through, and was told that you were at a different house
I was told to try and reach you there
And I did
But you weren't there either
I was told that you were off at a school carnival
That's where my patience ran out
That's when I decided to forget about our plans for that evening
So I called up a very good friend of mine who has never yet let me down
She didn't have plans either
So she came and picked me up
We got a movie
And had fun watching it
I know that you all have bashing parties
I've been to them before
Never once have I considered that there might be one about me
But last night, I could have cared less if there had been one about me
Because I did I all I could
And that was enough
So again
I'm not mad
I'm not upset
Or depressed
I'm just disappointed
And ready to forget it all
