Skating on the top of tree tops
As we drive to a new beginning.
The radio playing oldies,
As I am filled with anxiety,
I am starting a new life,
This is truly the road to maturity.
A part of me wanted to turn around,
Runaway, leave a new and different situation,
But I keep moving forward.
What more could life give me?
This will be a new life -
Away from family,
My independence -
Then why am I afraid to go further?
I want to be a girl forever,
I want a have a new childhood,
But knowing what was to come ahead.
