Savor the Seasons

Spring

Spring tastes of

Cool morning wet

Seeds in my teeth

Pink juice running down my face and hands

Sweet smiles

Strawberries

Summer

Summer tastes of

Green stemmed,

Sweet juiced, dribbling

Cool as sea breeze

With a stone in the middle

Purple finger staining

Cherries

Autumn

Autumn tastes of

Crisp, hot gold and brown

Sticky gooey white

Crunching in the fire's warmth

Marshmallows

Winter

Winter tastes of

Hot and rich mugfulls

With crunchy and buttery

Ice melting off my eyelashes

Drips into the

Hot chocolate and soldiers
