Winning My Own Approval
I could try my very hardest,
Get through life with flying colours,
But it wouldn't matter,
Because you still wouldn't know I existed.
I could run a thousand miles,
Swim through the largest ocean,
Climb the highest mountain,
But would you see me then?
I could follow you around like a puppy dog,
I could watch your every move,
Memorise every single word you spoke,
And you would still hate me.
Not that it matters anymore,
Because I would still hate me too.
