Siren Song

Sing to me of a far off place,
Where the moon and sun,
Dance in the sky as one,
Where time stands still,
And the stars in me instill:
A peaceful, silent song
That this is where I belong;

Let me hear that haunting call-
The lilting of the rise and fall-
Its sound a steady, luring tune,
Of flowers deep in summer bloom,
Zinnia's scent drifting high
Into the frozen, timeless sky;

Sing to me, my far off place,
My silent song of years long gone,
Untouched land of endless dawn,
My world without a face.
