Passage

I see intoxicating sunshine

My spirits brighten

To blossoms so wondrous

In my sight reminding my

Depths of reasons for life

So resonant to spirit

Youthful laughter in

Ages decades long

In littered streets

With histories unrequited

I sigh at beauty all around me

My breath is laboured awe

Inspired mind that cannot take

In moments all at once as arms

Embrace to life so new

Yet in this breath decaying

As it starts I take it all

With open spirits heart

Dark nights closed veil once more

Ends as it commences
