Prologue

The beginning of time...

Using a great deal of her magic, Isis, the goddess of magic, finally created the amulet. The amulet that would allow her to travel back in time to try and prevent her husband's, Osiris, death. It was made of pure gold, and glowed when Isis touched her masterpiece. The sun dial design was engraved on the front, with the Ankh symbol adorning the back of the amulet. "I am above time," was inscribed above the sun dial design in Ancient Egyptian.

However, when she went to use the amulet, to save her husband, something went wrong. The amulet fell from her neck, and landed somewhere in another time period. She realized that she could not change things that were meant to be. That time was something not to be messed with.

To stop the amulet from getting into the wrong hands, for she could not destroy it- it was somewhere in the past or future. Isis placed a charm on the amulet. The power of the amulet would only show itself to a future descendant of hers. Isis knew her daughter could handle the amulet's power. For she would be wise as well as beautiful. She would be a Daughter of Isis.

Author's Note: I decided to have this story have a supernatural twist, rather then a sci-fi one, like Delia and the Laird. I hope you enjoy it. This was to do some explaining. Also, I made the myth up. To my knowledge there is no such amulet in any legend. And Isis is known as many things besides the Goddess of Magic. I just thought that would go best with this myth. I'll have chapter one up soon. I hope you'll enjoy this.
