Resolution

I felt your arms around me today,

Sitting out in the sun,

Skipping English…

I cried again,

I wanted you there with me,

My tears fell onto the soil,

They got soaked up so quickly…

I knew they could hear me as I yelled for you again and again,

I felt their pity…

Then the clouds started crying,

I thought it was you crying,

Because I was…

I shouldn’t be crying anymore,

I should be letting go, moving on…

That’s what they said to me,

But the tears that fell onto me,

Soaking me,

They were so cold…

Then a hand touched my cheek,

And there you stood wiping at my tears.

I won’t cry for you anymore,

I’ll remember you,

And I’ll smile,

I’m not going to surrender myself to loneliness anymore,

Then arms went around me,

My tears stopped and I looked up at the face…

He’s new to the school…

But he’s an angel,

And you probably sent him to comfort me…

Didn’t you?

Cause I’m going to thank you for it,

Because he’s just like you,

Except he doesn’t have that smile of yours…

Oh well.

Every time I remember you,

I’m going to smile,

Every time I feel the sun,

I’m going to hug you back,

Every time I feel the wind,

I’ll tell you a secret in return,

I’ll whisper comforting words to you…

I’m going to thank you for the angel you sent to me,

I’m here right now,

I feel your love,

And I send you all my love…

I don’t have any more tears for you,

Because I don’t want you to feel cold,
