Do You Know Me?
~Everyone knows the call of a bird.
Everyone knows why chicks cry.
But when you yell at me,
Thinking you know all.
I really have to wonder,
Do you know me?
You act as if I'm a stranger.
I try to come close,
And you push away.
You tell me I won't understand.
But really, I've gone though more
Than you think.
And I wonder:
Do you know me?
How many times have I
Faked smiles to your comments
That are always,
Incorrect.
I stand my ground,
And you laugh.
I cry,
And you turn away.
And over and over I am forced to think:
Do you know me?
You push me to the end,
And I'm ready to snap.
But you blind yourself to me because,
I make all the right moves on the outside.
If only you'd look closer,
You'd see my world is chaos;
Because of you.
You say you know me
But you don't.
You say I'll live,
But I won't.
I wish I could make you understand,
But I can't.
Because the fact of the matter is;
You don't know me.
And before you try to
Understand me,
Look at
