It Doesn't End Here

We marched for you-
our daughters, so that you could have equal rights as men

We spoke for you-
our sisters, so that you could get your taste of freedom

We sang for you-
our hearts, so that you could have your say in this world

We wrote for you-
our journeys, so that you could find confidence in your own

We were never led to believe that we could be extraordinary, you see
People looked down upon us as though it was a burden to be a girl
Yet we were women, strong and beautiful, just as you have come to be
We were striving for our independence from this cruel and unusual world

We cleaned for you-
our slates of tears that had run dry to the ditch

We saw for you-
with our eyes, the hurt that led us to be strong

We created for you-
our dreams, that will forever walk with you on endless roads

We marched for you-
Our daughers, our sisters, our dreams, our womanhood
And we march on.
