Cry~
By~ Cheyenne Taylor Issued~ January 13, 2003 Age 12-ish

On the days
When people say
Are you feeling okay?
You tell them you're fine
But inside you want to die
It's almost as if
The world is crumbling at your feet
You close your eyes, wondering how
But there's something there
Keeping you from blocking it out
For a while it was anger
For a while it was shame
But now its sentimental
A burning pain
And then you're on the floor
Crying
Crying for your troubled soul
You stop to stare
At your burdened life
It's all you can do
To keep from falling apart
And when people wonder what's wrong
You just cry oh
Cry
Your friends all say
You're crazy
But you know inside you can't help it
At all
And tears of joy and pain
Will refrain for now
But until you can be free
Flying like a bird
All you feel possible is to
Cry
Oh Cry for your troubled soul
You stop to stare
At your burdened life
And it's all you can do
To keep from falling apart
And when people wonder what's wrong
You just cry
Oh you cry
Flying is only just a memory
Like a bird with no wings
Life is a barren field
Covered with snow
Except your troubled soul
You
Cry
Oh Cry for your troubled soul
You stop to stare
At your burdened life
And it's all you can do
To keep from falling apart
And when people wonder what's wrong
You just cry
Oh you Cry
You just cry down on your knees
Praying for freedom someday
Crying tears of pain
Joyful tears will restrain
Living in tears.
While you cry
