Falling
By: Cheyenne Taylor Age: 12 Issued: June 8, 2003

I want to feel the wind in my hair
And feel the ocean in my hands
I want to fly around the clouds
And make the stars a single band
Oh how wonderful it is to have dreams
Even if you know they aren't real
Because if you don't have dreams
Then there's nothing left to feel
I used to dream of you
Then you gave me nightmares
I used to lie safely in your arms
Till you let go with no cares
Since then I've been falling
And the bottom draws near
You still have time to save me
I'm screaming in your ear
I'm falling
Do you remember when you told me
That the moon was there for me
I never really believed you
But you made it seem so real
I have a feeling you're still there
But you're afraid to move
Your nerves are getting to you
Think fast or you will lose
Come on I see the ground
I can feel it in your bones
You still love me in there
My own heart knows
I used to dream of you
Then you gave me nightmares
I used to lie safely in your arms
Till you let go with no cares
Since then I've been falling
And the bottom draws near
You still have time to save me
I'm screaming in your ear
I'm falling
That night on the pier
When you whispered in my ear
You loved me
We would always be
Safely within each other's arms
But you got scared
And left me falling
I used to dream of you
Then you gave me nightmares
I used to lie safely in your arms
Till you let go with no cares
Since then I've been falling
And the bottom draws near
You still have time to save me
I'm screaming in your ear
I'm falling
Come and catch me
I'm falling
