A long over-due response to Renn Ireigh's Wait For No One. Took me a while to put my thoughts together for this one (and it doesn't help that rhyming is *not* my strongest skill...)

Renn's literary genius can be found over at FictionPress ID:33122. Best to go read. You're missing out on some really good stuff...

What About You?

You had told me not to
leave my heart upon a shelf,
but now I've come to wonder,
what about yourself?

You encouraged me to tell him, and
I thank you from my heart,
but I worry what would happen
if a relationship should start,

because we care about you;
Your feelings matter, too.
I've been that place where you are.
I know what you're going through.

Your friendship means a lot to me
and he feels the same way, too.
I know you want the best for us,
but we can't forget about you.
