I must have made a pact with the devil,
Some other time; some other place,
To be born into a family such as this,
Another chance I would gladly embrace.
I wait and I hope; I dream and I pray,
But no more chances have arisen,
What must I have done,
To be sent to this prison?
What did I do wrong,
To be raised with no love?
To be seen through eyes of malice?
To have no guardian angel watching from above?
For so many years, I've stood strong,
While I was toyed with, strung along, and used,
And the devil must be laughing at my expense,
For even now, I'm still paying the devil his dues.
