Akurei-Shinzo: Sorry I haven’t updated in forever! I had a ton of Homework, plus I was working on my stuff. Anyways! Here’s the next chapter of Hacker-Registered!

Chapter 5: Missing

            “What?!” exclaimed Naomi. She couldn’t believe what she was hearing.

            “Akira didn’t want to risk hacking into the government’s database just yet because you might have known something,” said Ken.

            “I did,” said Naomi. “This disk has all the information about one of the government’s projects! They were after Hotaka for something!”

            “This is bad,” said Ken. “Come on! Daisuke and Akira are at my place now, so let’s go!”

            “So,” said Akira calmly. “Hotaka’s been taken by the government… I’m not really surprised…”

            “What!” exclaimed Naomi. “Why not?”

            “Hotaka’s parents also made a resistance group against the government once,” explained Ken. “Do you know about the group called Edge?”

            “Yeah,” said Naomi. “But weren’t they a terrorist group?”

            “No,” said Daisuke sadly. “They were a group just like us, the government made them look bad so that they would look good. I know this because my parents were a part  of that group, and were slaughtered…just like the rest of them…”

            “Oh…” whispered Naomi, so that’s why Hotaka had a huge thing against the government…

            “The government is the source of all our problems!” said Ken as he banged his fist on the table. “That woman who lives in this house killed my mother so she could be with my father! It was one of those forced-marriages!”

            “Forced-Marriage?” asked Naomi.

            “It’s when a government official who’s in love with someone, married or not, gets to marry them anyways,” explained Akira. “If the person is already married then their husband or wife will be killed…”

            “…” Naomi was shocked. What if her father…

            “I got a lock on him,” said Akira after a few minutes of hacking into the government database. “He’s in sector S-1”

            “Won’t the government track us down like this?” asked Naomi.

            “Relax,” said Daisuke. “Akira’s a genius, he can hack into anything and not get caught!”

            “Wow,” said Naomi. “How’d you get so smart Akira?”

            “…I…it’s…” Akira stammered, for a moment Naomi noticed that Akira seemed like he was lost in a trance. Like he didn’t really know how to explain something. “Never mind, let’s just find Hotaka…”

            “Where’s my brother you creeps?” asked Hotaka as he tried to get out of the guards strong grip on him.

            “Don’t worry,” said a man in the shadows. “You’ll be joining him soon…”

            The door slid open automatically and there laid a boy, a young thirteen-year old boy lay on the bed, in a coma-like state. He was hooked up so much equipment that Hotaka almost couldn’t see his brother’s face.

            “Hiroshi!” exclaimed Hotaka. He broke free of  his captors’ grasp and rushed to his brother’s side. “Hiroshi! It’s me! Wake up! What did you do to him?!”

            “Like I said before,” said the man within the shadows. “You’ll be joining him soon…”

Akurei-Shinzo: That’s the end of chapter 5! But because you people waited so long for this to be updated I’ll throw in another chapter!

Chapter 6: Registered

            “You want me to come with you guys?” asked Naomi. The guys had asked her to come with them to help save Hotaka. “Are you sure? I don’t think…”

            “You’re already pretty much involved in Hacker,” said Ken.

            “Besides, without Hotaka there’s only two people we can really count on,” said Akira.

            “Really?” asked Daisuke. “Who?”

            “Me and Ken,” said Akira.

            “Hey! I’m helpful too!”

            “You’re usually the distraction…”

            “Alright then!” said Naomi. “I’ll go with you.”

            Within minutes they reached the government’s headquarters, Naomi was really nervous, her first mission! Thank goodness Akira was such a great inventor, he designed a pair of headsets like the ones used in virtual-reality games only it not only disguises the Hacker, it can also be used as a heat-tracking device, see through walls, and do a lot of other stuff Naomi couldn’t remember. Not only that, Akira also had a lot of other inventions, but also Naomi couldn’t use them because they didn’t have time to train her how to use them.

            “Akira,” said Naomi. “What do you keep in that briefcase of yours?”

            “If he tells you know we’ll suddenly find ourselves in the year 4000,” said Daisuke. Akira whacked him over the head with the briefcase, knocking Daisuke out cold.

            “Don’t worry,” said Akira. “It wasn’t my school briefcase, he’ll come to in about a few minutes…”

            “Where’s Akira going?” asked Naomi. They were climbing into the building through a window while Akira went through another window.

            “His job is to lower the defense systems in the buildings we attack,” explained Ken. “So he heads for the control rooms.”

            “The coast’s clear,” said Daisuke looking through his goggles, while everyone had headsets on, Daisuke only had a pair of goggles on.

            “Alright,” said Ken. “Let’s go!”

            “So,” said the mystery man. “Tell me, Hotaka, what do you know about this group called Hacker?”

            “I don’t know anything,” snarled Hotaka. “Now tell me what you did to my brother!”

            “You’ll see…”

            Suddenly the lights began to flash on and off and sirens went off within the building.

            “We’re under attack boss!” shouted a guard.

            ‘Great going Daisuke,’ thought Hotaka. ‘You did it again, you got caught in the security system before Akira could disable it!’

            “Daisuke you dodo-brain!” shouted Ken as the three raced through the halls trying to find a place to hide.

            “It had a big red button!” complained Daisuke. “It was calling out to me to push it!”

            “Forget arguing,” panted Naomi. “Let’s first hide!”

            “There they are!” shouted a guard.

            “Ack!” shouted Daisuke as he darted away (if he were always this fast he could be on the track team).

            “Ah!” shouted Naomi as one of the guards tried to grab her. She heard a great whack and looked up to see Akira knocking out several guards with his briefcase. “Thanks Akira.”

            “Let’s go!” shouted Ken as they rushed off.

            “Looks like your friends are here to get you,” said the man. Hotaka glared at him and lifted his brother off the bed.

            “Your plans end here,” said Hotaka. “The Hackers will see that you will be ruined!”

            “Oh,” said the man. “Will I?”

            With a flash of light he vanished, Hotaka stared after him and then stared back down at Hiroshi.

            “Hotaka!” shouted Naomi as they ran up to him.

            “What are you doing here?” asked Hotaka. “Never mind, let’s get Hiroshi out of here!”

            “Self-destruction of building will occur within fiver minutes,” said a speaker.

            “Aiya!” shouted Daisuke. “Talk later! Run now!”

            The group barely managed to get out of the building in one peace, just when they were a yard away the building exploded. Then they began the long process of explaining why Naomi was there.

            “…I see,” said Hotaka. He turned to face Naomi. “I guess I should thank you…”

            “Here,” said Naomi handing him the silver disk. “I think this is yours…”

            Hotaka looked at it and shook his head.

            “No,” said Hotaka. “It’s yours now. Welcome to the group.”

            “You mean…”

            “Yes, you are now officially registered.”
