Sting of the End

The pain of unspoken word
The sorrow goes hand in hand
With death; Memories
Lost in the breath of land
At one point you held me
Before we said our goodbyes
Spread our wings and I
Covered those innocent eyes
From the edge of the earth
I fell, without a doubt
I will never return
As the heavens cry out
I am enveloped in light
Carried upon gentle wing
I am whisked away
I will never be forgetting
My angel I once knew
The one I had to leave
From here I think of you,
Still; As you bereave
So here I am now
Slowly dying, fading
Eternally alone
This is Death's sting
