Author's note: This is one of the few pieces of poetry I've ever written. I'm not really a "poetry kid of girl", I'm better off writing stories. Yet, if I'm in a meloncholic type of mood (like I was last night when I wrote this) then my Muses and I vent by writing poetry and by writing in my journal. Hope you enjoy this piece, and please leave a review! Thanks! ^^

Another Face of Me

The tiger runs free in the moonlight
Queen of her home, the Lady of all she sees,
Running free till morning's light
I waken, locked once again in my cage
The tiger running so free is just
Another face of me

The she-wolf, Lady of her pack howls,
Crying to the Moon above her
Calling her friends to her,
She leads her pack to a place
Where they can run free till
The light of morning comes
I waken, locked again in my cage
The wolf, howling with freedom is just
Another face of me

Two opposites I am,
Both sides dreaming of being free
The tiger running, the wolf racing
With all the fleetness of perfect freedom

Locked in a cage,
the wolf and tiger are waiting till
Night falls and the Moon rises
They are mournfully watching, gazing outside

The tiger rages and the wolf snarls
The Queens of all they survey must wait till
The night to escape our gilded cage
Then they run,
Free again inside my mind

And I too am free because
The wolf and tiger are both just
Another face of me
