This is the final chapter of this story. If any of you like this one I have sequels to it. If you want I can post them but I am not planning on it.

The next afternoon David had gone off somewhere with one of his friends. It was just like him to just shrug off one of their agruements. She sat on the couch rummaging through some old things with the TV blaring in the background. "Another murder has hit our area tonight. We have Jason Smith on the scene." Jade turned her attention to the television. Some man was talking about a murder that had happened late last night. The headline read, "29 YEAR OLD ACCOUNTANT MURDERED."

The anchor rambled on about the recent murder in the area. The man had been murdered around 9 p.m. last night. He was found in one of the old alleyways stabbed to death. Jade covered her mouth and turned off the television. She finished putting the rest of the things back in the box when she suddenly stopped. The image of David last night popped into her head.

He had come home around 9:45 p.m. with a gash on his forehead. "No, no don't even say that Jade." she said aloud. Then the image of finding Jude's pendant in David's car flashed through her mind. "No, stop it Jade. It's just not possible. Your not thinking right." Without even thinking she walked over to her laptop and turned it on.

She didn't know what was running through her head but she had to be sure. Jude used to work with the police department so she could easily get acess to their files. Not to mention she was pretty good at hacking. The events of the night at the carnival ran through her head. That strange man who had come up to them and started calling David "Christian." Everything started to blur together. She typed in in the name "Christian Sutherland." David's last name was Sutherland. Up came a huge file and her heart caught in her throat as she saw David's picture.

The list ranged from robbery to murder. The last line caught her attention in a bad way. He was also known as "Christian Williams", a well known contract killer. "Oh my God." she whispered. The room started to spin and she grabbed onto the edge of the table. It all came together. The muder last night, the one she was caught in the middle of, Johnny. Then Jude popped into her head. "Oh my God."

"Jade?" Jade looked in front of her and saw David. "What's the matter Jade? You look like you've seen a ghost." He walked over to her slowly and she backed off the chair, knocking it over. "What are you doing Jade?" He turned her laptop towards himself. "Tsk, tsk, tsk. Such a clever girl aren't you?" She backed herself into the wall. "So it's true?" He laughed. "Of course it's true you silly girl. I just hoped you would never find out."

David continued to progress towards her. "Jude? You killed Jude?" He laughed even more. "Yeah, and what a mess that was. He just couldn't keep his nose out of my business. Do you know he actually followed that guy at the carnival? Of course I killed that guy for giving me away. I just couldn't let any one stand in the way of me and you. Now I couldn't let him go off telling you could I? Little Jude boy finally met his match."

David backed up a little bit and continued to talk. "I saw you that night in the alley. I told you to get down. I guess I didn't think anyone would be stupid enough to walk through the alleyway at night. But there was one thing I never expected." Jade looked at him with anger in her eyes. "What?" He smiled. "I never expected to fall in love with you. Now believe me when I say, I love you."

Jade ran to the kitchen to grab a knife. She slid it into her pocket secretly before David got to her. David then blocked her way thinking that she hadn't got the knife.

"Now let's not do anything rash. We can make this work you know."

"What do you mean?"

"I know you love me. We can just forget about all of this. We can contiue our life together."

"Your crazy. YOu don't know what love is."

"Yeah I guess you could call me crazy. But I'm not crazy when I say I love you."

David grabbed onto her arm and tightened his grip until she cried out in pain. "Let me go David. Just let me go. I promise I won't tell anyone." David smirked his well known smile and back away. "I wish I could believe you. I guess I'll just have to kill you then." He charged towards her and then cried out in surprise. He stumbled backwards and stared down at the knife in his stomach.

He stumbled to the ground and ripped the knife out. "Why Jade?" She sunk back into the wall. "You killed Jude." David laughed hoarsely. "Well you killed me bitch!" He ran towards and a shot rang out through the air as if ripping through the shrouds of time. David fell to his knees and Jade spied the police men who stood in the doorway.

Jade slid to the ground. Her whole body convulsing in sobs. David stared at her wide eyed and whispered something only she could hear. The officers ran over quick and she heard one of them say he was still alive. One of them called on their walkie talkies for an ambulance.

After the ambulance took David away one of the officers came over to her. "I'm officer John Riley. How did you know this man? We have been after him for a very long time. We got a tip tonight that he might be staying here." Jade looked up at him weakly. "He was my boyfriend. I didn't know whe he was until tonight. I guess I should have figured it out. He killed two of my best friends. And I loved him."

Jade talked to the officer for a few moments longer and then they all disappeared in blue and red lights. She paced the house back and fourth. She knew she had to leave. The police would be back to rummage through all of his things. But she made one promise to herself. David would never make it out of jail alive. She would make sure of that.
