Someone Somewhere

A star in the sky,
A tree in the forest,
All placed there for a reason, why?
Surely someone somewhere knows what's best?

A fish in the ocean,
An eel on the ocean floor,
Who could have had the notion,
To create all this and more?

All so different,
But all the same,
Why were we sent,
To Earth as plentiful as rain?

Surely someone somewhere cares?
Who cares if they're far or near?
Surely someone somewhere must be aware,
That we live here.

If someone somewhere cares,
Do they care about me?
If someone somewhere is aware,
Who could it be?
