Chapter 3: Ragnarok Awakens

The winged creature made a dive at Takashi, the force of the beast’s attacked forced Takashi to fall on the ground. In the process he dropped the orb, it rolled over into a patch of grass. Takashi struggled to get up and reached out to grab the sphere, at the same time the monster flew at him, claws stretched out.

“Oh shit!” yelled Takashi. The orb, which was a few inches from his hand, began to glow brilliantly. Then it became a bright light and was absorbed into his hand! “What now?!”

The creature stopped in midair and began to back away, Takashi began to fell pain in both of his wrists. A black v-shaped mark began to form on the back of his hand, an invisible force forced Takashi’s arm upward. A golden line formed a few feet above Takashi, then it opened into an eye-like shape.

“Ahhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!” yelled Takashi as a blue beam of energy blasted from his arm. The blast shot through where the eye’s pupil would have been and then the energy formed into a strange creature. It looked like a wolf, only it’s fur was like a blue flame, it’s paws were burning white and golden claws were extended and sharp. It opened it’s golden eyes and the gold horn in the middle of it’s forehead shined brightly. It gave a howl that echoed throughout the graves.

The wolf charged the flying creature and tackled it to the ground, Takashi noticed that when the other creature was forced to the ground it began to fade. It was then he realized, for some reason, that creature couldn’t touch the graveyard’s earth! Soon the other creature vanished and the wolf let out another bone-chilling howl.

After the second howl the wolf turned it’s golden eyes one Takashi, for a moment Takashi considered to run, but that soon changed. The wolf turned back into a blue flame and flew straight at Takashi, before Takashi could make a move the wolf had been absorbed into him. Takashi sat there on the graveyard staring at his hands, which now had strange black marks on them.

“What just happened?” he asked. Then, for some reason he muttered, “Ragnarok…”
