Birthed from Legends and sightings and perhaps even facts, the treasured creatures of the imagination have lived with man since they had the brain to fathom such beings. The mermaid was made on the sleepless seas, where lonely sailors made a maiden out of a massive somewhat unsightly sea creature. Unicorns bloomed from lore and wish. Monsters rose from fear and misery. But there is one creature who was never born from such fanciful play of the human mind. These beings were before time, before man had the mind to see them. Ever since, they have been a means of hope or a source of awe to those who have the ability to lay eyes upon them. For there is no other creature on earth which so intimately caries out the will of God than them. It is in the watchful eyes of the angels that every birth and death of a human takes place. With each new life an angel is made to follow and protect acording to what is willed of the being. But as the end comes, be it one of youth or great age, there is only one which witnesses and carries out the duty. It is this eternal being which has inspired more fear in man than any other being in all of creation. This one being, this one angel, death.
