Deep in the thoughts
Of a mixed up child,
So innocent, naïve,
Tender and mild.

They've been through more
Than you could imagine,
It isn't fair,
And there is no reason.

They've suffered more fright
Than that from the devil,
They've experienced first-hand,
The purest evil.

And you wonder why
They cry at night,
And fight it inside,
With all their might.

It's because of ignorance,
Injustice and intolerance,
They will have that fear all their life,
They'll never have a chance.
