A year ago, I'd never known you,
Never thought what it could mean;
Blinded to your piercing heart-light,
Purest silver's blazing beam.

A month ago, I thought I knew you,
Ah! how shallow minds can be!
Further, deeper now I've seen you,
Stronger, truer I believe.

An hour ago, I find I know you,
Shining clear at last I see
Joy for life, these moments treasure,
Great the gift you give to me.
