Justan sighed. He was going to have to actually sleep in order to heal up Jade's body. Her body was in fatigue from all the running and rushing they had done earlier. He lay down on the bed. It was rather. comfortable. He forced himself to sleep physically. Mentally, he began to draw out plans and analyze the limits of Jade's body.

Justan opened Jade's eyes. It was morning, and they were safe as he expected. Arthos wanted him to see and experience fully his supposed downfall. Justan had other ideas. ~Jade, wake up!~

~But I want to sleep..~

Perhaps it would be better. ~Fine, sleep then.~

~Really?~

~Yeah. I'll eat for you.~

~That sounded weird, Justan.~

~Go back to sleep!~

~Wah! Alright. you can eat for me.~

~Alright. Just uh. find something movable to dress in first and dress up.~

~.sure.~

Justan distastefully ate breakfast. He didn't eat much usually, but he forced the food into Jade's body without choking her. It was rather strange. After breakfast, he stretched out and took a light jog.

Upon returning to the house, he sighed. It was time. He stepped outside the house and whistled. The horse thundered towards him. "Oops." Justan looked at the large wound on his arm. "You know, this really isn't my body and.I don't think the horse cares." he commented as the horse bit Jade's arm again. He shrugged. "Oh, well."

~JUSTAN!!!!!~

"Oh, yeah, then again, it's her body." Justan glared at the horse. "You can stop that now." He kicked the horse and it reared. "Hmm. boots, nice choice Jade..at least they're not they're hard." ~Everything's fine. Go back to sleep now.~

~Now, I need to stay awake so you don't kill my body!~

~.wonderful.~ He mounted the horse and sighed. It bolted. ~Damn!~ He held on for dear life. ~~~~

Arthos was there waiting. "Late, eh?"

"What matter is that to you?" Justan scoffed. He called forth a sword. He preferred a scythe but the typically preferred duel weapon was after all a sword.

Arthos unsheathed a sword. "Is it because you're trying to delay your end?"

"No. Are you afraid of your end so much that you have your so called followers around here close by watching?" Justan retorted calmly. He shook his head with a simple smile.

"You have a horse."

"As do you."

"Your horse is different they say."

"I suppose considering that is seems to take pleasure in biting..." Justan glared at the horse as it bit Jade's arm. "..people's .... STOP IT!" The horse backed away slightly and snorted.

Arthos chuckled slightly. "I can see."

"Enough of this. Let's begin the duel," Justan said. ~Jade, you ready?~

~Not really considering it's you we're fighting.~

~That's not me, Jade. It's just simply some demon in my body. It doesn't mean that it's me.~

~Whatever. You know what I mean.~

~Everything should be perfectly.. Fine..~ Justan grimaced as he barely sidestepped Arthos's first thrust.

~Fine? You'd better hope so!~

~Well, if it's not, at least I won't have to argue with you for eternity. or not.~

~Watch me smack you!~

~Later, Jade.. Unless you want to get killed easier.~

~..fine.~

~There you go.~ Justan focused energy into the sword arm and charged. Jade's body wasn't as swift as his and he would have to make up for it somewhere else. The same went for the strength difference. They sparred for ages, Justan barely managing to fend back efficiently enough in his standards.

It hit him in the midst of the duel. He pulled back quickly as Arthos swung his sword down hard. It hit the ground. The risk laid in his secret being revealed. There were humans about. The demons about no doubt knew, but it was the humans he didn't want around. He thought it funny. The demons feared Arthos because he had killed their kind with humans. He had betrayed them yet they still followed him.

"Coward!" Arthos laughed.

He backed away from Arthos even more. The pure forms..he didn't know if he wanted to do it or to bring them out. Which ever pure form he chose would drive Arthos out indefinitely. Neither the sane nor insane could handle the pure forms and survive. It was the only choice.

"Running away are you? I won't let you!" Arthos chortled.

~Jade, forgive me, but you are protected. I will protect everyone here for now.~

~What are you doing? Are you going to do something stupid?~

~Uh..well..~

~JUSTAN!!!!~

~Trust me. ~ He blocked her out for the moment.

Justan closed Jade's eyes and concentrated. He had the stamina and the energy to pull it off. In performing this capacity in Jade's body and state, he ran the risk of disrupting the balance. Better to disrupt the balance than permanently have it be disrupted with Arthos in his body.

The energy was building up inside, dark and side of the pure forms came up first, he would use. The neutral form wasn't eligible for the moment. He could hear Arthos's footsteps approaching quickly and becoming louder by the second. He wasn't worried.

"Now you'll be captive forever and then once you've see it happen, you'll die!" Arthos hollered.

Jade's eyes shot open. The pupils were red.

"What?" Arthos noticed the change and stopped short.

Justan grinned. "Hello."

Arthos felt slightly strange and dropped the sword he was brandishing. Something was wrong with the body. "What the.."

~Justan, why do my eyes feel funny?~

~Uh, nothing to worry about, girl.~

~Justan.~

~Don't worry.~

~Justan, THERE ARE THINGS GROWING OUT OF MY BACK!~

~Oh, that? It called wings, Jade. It's called a last minute resort. Nothing I can think of to seem normal and put down Arthos.~

~Umm.~

~.be quiet.~ Justan's tone of voice shut Jade up. He faced Arthos, and the smile became an impassive expression. The wings in Jade's back spread open. They were white. Her body contorted.

"JUSTAN!" Jade screamed. It was normal again in a few seconds. The wings had disappeared. Jade realized that she had moved her own mouth. "Umm, Justan?" She stared at Arthos. Arthos's eyes were wide open in shock, and his mouth was open. "Umm.." Jade moved backward quickly, so quickly that she fell on her behind. "Erm." She tightened the grip on the sword that was in her hand and raised it.

Arthos was gagging now for whatever reason it was that he was gagging. "What is going on?" he rasped. "The pain!"

"Nothing's going on." A double of Justan's body had appeared. The one which Arthos occupied was slowly disintegrating. "You've just proven that you can't withstand being in my body." Justan grinned as he produced a small box from behind his back. He opened it, and the rest of the disintegrating body floated inside it. Justan sighed. "Well, back to where you belong."

There was silence as everyone stared save for the horse, which was thundering toward Justan. Justan sighed as well and flinched a moment later as the horse sank its teeth into his arm. "Damn horse!" ~~~~

Jade was glad that Justan had regained his body, but she wasn't quite happy about what had happened in her body and with Arthos in general. Justan was able to convince the humans that were watching that Arthos had been a demon that had possessed his body and that Jade was some sort of exorcist. He wasn't really lying. Jade had been an exorcist. while he was in her body trying to figure out how to exorcize Arthos. As for the demons, they seemed to grasp the truth of what had happened and had long fled back into the nether world.

It was a quiet day as Justan slipped the box inside his locked desk. Hopefully, Jade would not enter his room. She knew better than to touch things in his room. though he was still slightly afraid that her curiosity would get the better of her. He sat down. There was a bed in the room that he rarely used. The majority of the room was empty with invisible documents floating about. Justan sighed and plopped down on the bed. It was actually quite comfortable. He could afford a brief break before he had to go to work again. He closed his eyes and breathed.

Suddenly, there was a loud crash. "JUSTAN!!!" came Jade's frantic scream.

"Now what?" Justan got up and quickly went toward the voice. He was met midway by the horse, which immediately bit his arm. "Stupid horse!" He looked toward Jade and saw the broken window. She had been worried, but seeing the horse bite him had made her fall over laughing. Just wrinkled his brows and frowned. "DAMN HORSE!"
