CREATIVITY

Sometimes
I amaze myself
With how much writing is
A part of my life
Something I can
Immerse myself in

I think music is much the same
When you're creating
The melody line or
Putting together the harmony
You have this feeling
Of it being yours
YOUR creation
Of losing yourself
In the possibilities
Of what may come next

We're all creative in some way
Even if only the teeniest
Tiniest bit

Look at the scientists
That make new inventions
It is a similar feeling
Only a different medium
Instead of musical notes
Or words
They use bits of metal
