I was sent this Angel
In my time of confusion
When my life no longer made sense
And my heart no longer cared

She came and put be back on track
Put me at the top of my class
Snapped me into shape
And helped me figure out my world

She stood by me when no one else would
She talked to me
Clamed my fears
And dismissed my sorrow

I tried her patience
Her sanity
And she passed
And in turned tried me

She let me stand on my own two feet
She tried to help me when I would not be forthcoming
When I would not cooperate
And she usually got her way

Every time I see her
I look to see if the wings have appeared
But they never do
And the halo never appears either

But when she hugs me
I feel safe and protected
I know I can’t get hurt
And that’s when I thank God for sending me this angel.
