lying on cold stone as remembrances attack
my thoughts drowning in the replayed images
heart racing, suffocating me slowly and surely
as tears plummet from my eyes like crystal venom
poisoning my cheeks with ever quickening sadness
carving into me and marking me as weak
the accusations fly like fatal birds of prey
tearing me with their truth and brutal honesty
words falling like burning ashes to the ground
streaks of bright light that bring pinpricks of pain
illuminating the nostalgic nothing i have become
