 “Blood Guilt”

The red rose glistens,

not of the dew, but of blood,

guilty tears of them.

“Drop of Rain”

Fall, warm drops of rain,

into the waiting puddle

and join your brethren.

“Black Panther”

Amber eyes flashing,

coat of ebony gleaming,

ready for the hunt.

“Butterfly, Live and Die”

Fly, fly, butterfly

rest on the flower and die,

little hatchlings live.

“Eternal Eyes”

Eternal eyes watch

the eons of change pass by

forever patient.

Author’s Note: Well, as most people already know a haiku is a Japanese form of poetry, with three lines; going in the order of 5 syllables, 7 syllables, and 5 syllables.  It’s nice poetry to write when you wish to convey an emotion and/or symbol, in a short amount of time. Very enjoyable to write and a short read.  Please review and tell me what you think.
