Don't tell me things I already know.

Don't tell me the Earth is round, or that red and yellow make orange.

Don't tell me my name, my age, or where I live.

Don't tell me this world is full of bad people, never talk to strangers, no matter how friendly they may seem.

Don't tell me that water is the source for all life, and don't tell me to plant trees because they give us air.

Don't tell me one plus one equals two, or that two plus two equals four.

Don't tell me to respect my elders, or to stop talking when someone else is.

Don't tell me lollies are bad for my teeth, and if I want beautiful, white teeth, I shouldn't eat them in excessive amounts.

Don't tell me I shouldn't be sleeping with a stuffed rabbit when I sleep, at my age.

Don't tell me when I get flowers I should put them in some water straight away, with the exception of dried ones.

Don't tell me my school marks are going down, and that if I want that new MD player they should pick up before the end of the semester.

Don't tell me my internet usage has skyrocketed, and that my free hours have been used up and now we have to pay seventy bucks for this month alone.

Don't tell me wasting hours in front of the computer is bad for my eyes, that radiation will sooner or later make me blind.

Don't tell me to turn that music down, the neighbours will hear and complain.

Don't tell me my mother has cancer, and that there is little chance she will make it.

Don't tell me my dad's run away, run away to somewhere no one knows he has gone, to escape the responsibility of taking care of me by himeself.

And don't tell me life isn't worth living.

Tell me something I don't know.

~Fin~

What did you think? It's weird, isn't it? Well, it's an impulse story, I was thinking depressive thoughts and somehow, something in my brain said 'tell me something i don't know' and a lightning bolt struck my head.
