My days are full of childish voices,

Eager young faces anxious,

for my every care and attention.

Their fresh malleable minds,

still as soft as clay beneath,

the artistry of my chalk-covered fingers.

Ready to be molded into citizens,

to become a country's bright new future.

My responsibilities often cast a shadow,

upon my uncertain thoughts;

the burden of a new nation,

seems too heavy to be carried upon,

my inexperienced, shaky shoulders.

Yet, whenever I am greeted,

by these sweet voices calling me "Teacher!";

all my doubts and misgivings,

would suddenly vanish;

leaving me with the unshakeable truth,

my fullest commitment in my life's career.
