Selah walked down the front steps of her school, it had been the last day and she was the one who got detention when Anna, her friend had thrown a pencil at the teacher. He automatically turned to Selah, even though she rarely ever did anything wrong; the pencil had inevitably come from her direction. "Detention!" He shouted, his face turning purple.
"But-" she said.
"No buts, after school at 3:45 PM today!"
"That's not fair it's the last day of school, and you haven't even heard what I've got to say!" Selah said.
Mr. Grotto just turned back to the board to finish our game of hangman. Selah glared at Anna, the least she could have done was come out and admit to what she had done. Then again, she had been growing steadily meaner since the beginning of the school year. "Anna you're a bitch." Selah whispered under her breath. Anna just shrugged.

The bell rang symbolizing the end of the day, and the beginning of my torturous hour alone in detention. "Now then Miss Anderson, why did you throw that pencil at Mr. Grotto?" Selah didn't even try to explain that it had been Anna. "Take a seat," said Ms Bryerson helplessly.

An hour later Selah was trekking through the unbearable heat of early summer. I need a shortcut, thought Selah turning into an alley. Suddenly her feet began to tingle, and Selah began sinking into the ground. When she was up to her waist, Selah screamed for help, but it was as if the world had stopped, stopped everything just to watch her sink into oblivion. "Please! Somebody help me!" shouted Selah as her head went under.
Instead of death or even Hell, Selah saw stars. She was being pulled in a tunnel filled with stars. What's this? She wondered. Soon, however, Selah was overwhelmed with sleepiness, and drifted into a dreamless sleep. Soon Selah woke up in the middle of a forest. "Where am I?" she asked aloud.
"In Hawthorn Forest," said a female voice, "The spell worked, it brought the one to me."
"What the hell are you talking about lady?" asked Selah.
"You are the only one that can save us from the evil sorcerers." Said the woman.
"W-who are you?" asked Selah.
"My name is Samantha, what is yours?" Samantha asked.
"I am Selah, I don't understand." Selah said.
"You will in good time, child, you will in good time." Samantha said.
"What does that mean?" asked Selah.
"There she is!" shouted a man.
"Oh no it's the sorcerer, he's been after me for weeks trying to find out who the one was, you have to run," whispered Samantha.
Selah did as she was told and ran, she ran far never really seeing what was in front of her. BAM! Selah ran right smack into a fence. "OW!" she exclaimed, standing up and running on.
There were footsteps pounding behind her, and when Selah turned her head to see who, she missed the sign that said collapsed bridge; Selah fell into the quick flowing river. Before she had sense enough to try and make it to shore, the current pulled her under. "Damn it!" a man screamed, "after her now!"
Several of his lackeys jumped into the water and swam after Selah. Darkness, and a light headed feeling soon began to creep over Selah as she struggled to get to the surface for air. A hand suddenly reached under and pulled her above the current again, before blacking out, Selah saw a kind face.

Selah awoke in a warm bed, a man stood over her, dabbing her forehead with a cold washcloth, she had gained more than water logged lungs in the water, Selah had also gained a bad fever. He looked at her, "Ah you are awake, took you long enough, but you are awake."
"Where am I?" Selah asked.
"Water Lilly village," the man said, " by the way, my name is Alex, what's yours?"
"My name is Selah." She said.
"Well Selah, you almost didn't pull through, my sister Samantha said that you would no matter what."
"Can I see Samantha?" asked Selah.
"Sure why not?" said Alex, "Samantha!"
"Yes?" said Samantha's familiar voice.
"This young lady asked for you." Alex said, acting like he was older than everybody there.
"Why hello again Selah, how are you?" asked Samantha.
"Other than the waterlogged lungs I'm fine," Said Selah sarcastically.

"Good." Said Samantha, "I made you breakfast."
"Mmm. I can smell it now," Said Selah sniffing the air.
Samantha brought her a plate full of eggs, bacon, sausage, and toast.
"Wow thanks!" Said Selah. "Your welcome." Said Samantha.
After polishing off the meal Selah look around her room. There was one window, and from her seat on the bed Selah saw the most beautiful garden, that she had ever seen. There were flowers of every kind, and not far back was an apple tree, the heavy fruit falling from the branches. This has to be a dream, she thought. A voice suddenly rang through her ears, "Come to me young one!" It said, "And I will show you the way."
Selah thought she was possessed when she involuntarily jumped from her bed and went to the moonlit window where a shadow stood, "Who are you?" asked Selah before the window shattered, and the man grabbed her by the throat. "I am the sorcerer, come to take you home," he said cruelly, "you are joining me!" He shouted.
"No!" shouted Selah as a bright light escaped her body. She threw a ball of energy at him throwing the sorcerer across the field.
"I told you she was the one," said a female voice behind her.
A black veil seemed to come over her then and Alex lifted her up and set her back into bed.

"I will get that child no matter what!" Shouted Dameon, the dark sorcerer.
His group agreed, "That brat can't overpower you sir!"
"Yes she can and that is exactly why I want her with me, as my young bride."
