Chapter 2

Selah woke up the next morning, the sun was shining through the open
window. The only thing she remembered of the night before was the
feeling of cold fingers curled around her throat- then nothing.
Samantha walked in, a broad smile on her face, "I told him you were
the one, he just didn't believe me until last night." She said.
"Why, what happened last night?" asked Selah.
The smile fell from Samantha's face, "don't you remember?"
"I remember feeling his cold fingers around my neck, and that's it."
Selah said.
"That's odd, you should remember, everything, I mean you gave him a
nasty shock when you blasted him with all that power."
"Power? Ok Samantha, if I had any power I could have done a lot
right?" Selah began.
"Right-" Samantha said hesitantly.
"Then I could have stopped this-" with that Selah showed Samantha the
long scar on her stomach.
"Oh- Selah what happened there?" asked Samantha.
"A long time ago- maybe three, four years- I was attacked by some
weirdo, and couldn't protect myself. he pulled out a knife when I
tried to run and managed to catch my stomach- to bad for me huh? I was
in the hospital for three months because of him, and you know what the
worst part is? He is still out there; they never caught him so he's
probably managed to kill some girls now." Selah looked like she was
going to cry but she didn't.
"Oh- that sounds horrible Selah." Samantha said, though she didn't say
anything the story had gone straight to her heart, Selah had been just
a child at the time and some asshole had taken the liberty of
attacking her.
But what about her power? Thought Samantha, its so great, why didn't
it come out then? "Samantha?" asked Selah.
"What?" said Samantha.
"Can I please go somewhere- anywhere so long as I'm not sitting or
lying down." Selah said.
"Certainly, why not?" said Samantha laughingly.
"Good," Said Selah.
That afternoon Selah and Samantha went outside. Everywhere she looked
Selah saw trees and flowers, and delicious fruits that were very ripe.
There was a stream nearby, and the two of them went for a nice long
swim. Soon the sky grew dark, to dark and they couldn't find their way
back. "Stop." Samantha said suddenly, "goblins-"
Selah heard the noise that she seemed to think was goblins. "We have
to run away from the house, we are endangering Alex's life needlessly
heading that way." Samantha said, "Make as much noise as you possibly
can to attract their attention while running. Dameon thinks that he
can outsmart us- well he's got another thing coming."
"Is that who I saw last night?" asked Selah.
"Yes- now run!" Said Samantha.
Twigs and leaves crunched as the two of them pounded through the
woods, closely followed by a little over 100 goblins. Suddenly
Samantha fell, "go on without me!" she shouted.
"Never! I see how movies like that end, they either kill you or use
you for bait."

Samantha's face twisted in confusion, "What is a movie?"
"Tell ya later, right now there are to many damn goblins, you say I
got power? It's time to see if your theory is true."

With that Selah's body began to glow, and a sword of light appeared in
her hands. She ran straight into the hoard of goblins and began
slashing violently, "none of you will get away." She puffed.
"Selah!" Samantha shouted.
When Selah turned to see what was the matter she saw a goblin had a
long and disgusting sword at Samantha's throat. "Give up girl or she
dies!" he shouted.
"Never!" said Selah, running at him so fast that he couldn't even see
her movement.
Suddenly Selah was behind him, "Boo!" she said pushing her sword
through his heart.
The goblin groaned as it fell to the ground, and the remaining 2 ran
as fast as they could to get away from the powerful girl. Selah
collapsed next to Samantha, whoa she thought, Samantha was right.
