Forever Dawn – Short story version:
Outside of a white picket fence house placed on the edge of a cliff that over looked the Pacific Ocean, a small owl hooted just as the winds swirled in a circular motion coming up from the sea and the air around. Trees and plants swayed and wooed with the wind as four ropes fell from the darkened sky and from those four ropes four men dropped and landing on the green damp foliage that covering the ground. There faces were unknown, just as they themselves were, it was to dark to tell even when moving, with water like movements, towards the small white house. There arms were raised, guns pointing towards the windows of the house (which numbered very few), their eyes covered with night vision goggles, they dressed in complete black and level two personal armor. They arrived in little time at the entrance to this small two story house, the leader who was two feet taller then the man who was nearest to the door and one foot shorter then the person closes to him, and about the same height to the man checking around the corner for anything, spoke in a whisper tone telling them to open the door.
The shortest man took out a small pick and inserted it into the lock, click, click, tick, washeard by the team and the door swung opened with a small creak, revealing a musty, gloomy, and rotten down entrance. A few tables sat along the walls, covered in three inches of thick dust also had some rotting plants and vases on top of them. The leader followed closely by his team stepped onto a creaky floor board and stopped just at the bottom of the stair well that lead up to the second story. The leader looked around noting that it hadn’t been touched in at least a few years, then he looked to his mates and told two of them to check the upstairs while he and the fourth man would check the ground floor. The leader quickly moved without sound followed in pursuit by his comrade, they went into the kitchen and noticed the person that lived here had nothing to even resemble to be living. They looked at each other before looking around some more. It was then that over their intercoms they could hear some scuffling and then dead silence. Both looking at each other and then both turned to go upstairs, hastily they moved, there footsteps not as silent now as before but that did not matter. With a silence swiftly wind the leader flew back into the wall crashing against a table snapping it like a twig and to top it off the attack a vase that flew into the air crashed on top of his head. The fourth man turned around to see nothing but his knocked out leader on the ground, shattered ceramics on the ground and broken splinters. The man heard some hissing and some creaking boards but other then that the ocean outside was the most outstanding of all the sounds. He looked around with more worries in his breath; he tapped his mic, and then started to walk around again. Then at the moment an ocean wave broke against the rocky cliff side and a voice which was smooth, feminine, refine, like vintage wine broke the eerie scene.
“You are Jack Murk are you not?” the voice appeared from the stair though it seemed to emanate from all around in the blackness. Jack looked towards the stairs to see nothing but a blur moving throughout the room never staying in one place.
“Yes I am Jack Murk, I ask you Lily Mora to come with us.” Jack sounded brave but underneath it was cowardice.
“Why should I come with you, for I do not wish to come with you, it is not my place with you. But it is your place to be with me.” Lily said before appearing right before Jack. She was a beauty, long midnight blue hair, solid silver eyes, milky white skin, and with a the most luscious lips anyone had seen. One problem which Jack noticed was that in those lips protrude two large fangs, yet the beauty was marveling.
“I, it’s, the United States government wants you to come with us.” Jack managed to say, un-bravely attempt from Lily’s stand point. Lily gave a small giggle as she moved closer to Jack who moved slightly away from her. He knew of the power she held over men, he manage to keep himself calm around her for he was trained that the weak mind will suffer against her will.
“Why you do you fear me, I feel it, I smell it, and I sense it. I’ve watched you slide down that rope from the helicopter; walk as silently as possible, though a bit loud for my taste, over to my front door. And when I told you that your place was with me you refuse.” Lily seemed a bit hurt, still she moved towards Jack who could move no further because he had back himself in a wall.
“I ask you again, come with us, or we have orders to terminate you.” Jack once again tried to hide the quivering in his voice. Lily giggled once more at his voice trying to sound brave.
“Poor Jack, the boy who was repeatedly beaten by his father, the boy who was beaten by his friends, and the boy that remained alone now thinks he has the power. Look around Jack, it is just you and me, your team is more or less sleeping, I’m giving you the choice to remain by my side for eternity and yet your still refuse…” Lily looked down before looking up again; her eyes changed to fierce silver, animal like, ready to attack. “Once more little Jack I ask you be with me. You have nothing to fear for me, since I promised a special someone close to you that I shall not harm you… But I can not let you remember me this way… for the next time you see me it will be just as new as of the first time you seen me tonight.” a small groan came from the leader that had been knocked out before, Lily moved her head to look at the leader, she didn’t mind he was to far out to know of her. “What is your decision?”
Jack didn’t say anything, his mind still shifted between confusion and what was right and wrong. Lily didn’t take any more time before she placed her palm to his forehead (covered in a thick mess of make-up (green and black)). Suddenly Jack blanked out and slumped against the wall to the ground. Lily looked around before kissing Jack on the head and saying good bye to her house she left without a sound or trace leaving the waking team.
