I made this purple cat out of paper mache. He has wings, and probably belongs in a Twilight Zone episode where fantastic creatures become real. I got the idea from a book called "Cat Wings," by Ursula K LeGuin. This really is more of a musing than a poem. He's a purple Siamese. His name is Shlomo.
