The battle of helms deep
They waited for the morning hour
Fighting against the superior power
Outnumbered by the Uruk-Hai
Most the men were presumed to die
The battle they would thought to lose
Fighting the orcs who were lined in queues
Ready to fight the human force
Battering at the main doors
Frightening the human men
Preparing to go to war again
Battering the floor with spears
To intimidate their foes,
To pray upon their fears
Aragorn prepared for the siege
Sending the messenger to their liege
Then as the battle did commence
10,000 Uruk-Hai charged, the feeling was tense
They battered the doors with spears and swords
Trying to destroy the opposing force
The archers fired for a worthy cause
They broke in over the wall
Using their wooden ladders
Men were slain and ground was lost
This battle would come at a massive cost
The human forces they did fight
Till death they would see the light
For middle-earth would need the men
To fight another day if they can
The human forces they did stand
Fighting the orcs hand to hand
Delaying their attack was saving lives
As Legolas went at them with his knives
They had the strength to fight on
Till the very break of dawn
Then over the hill came the white rider
Baring with him the riders with Eomer
Gandalf did bring men on horses
Obliterating the uruk forces
And so helms deep was won
And the only thing that stirred was the sun
So to Gondor the fellowship did ride
And remembered those who had fought and died.
