213 OR

29 Summerborn

Sister,

I cannot tell you how happy I am to hear those words from your mouth- or the hand of your priestess, which is the same thing. I am so glad that there is a small bright corner of you still alive. Of course it only proves the power of the Light is eternal, but it is a very great thing to hear confirmation of that, and not just the assurances, echoes of myself, that are mouthed back to me by mortals. And the other gods are not much better, even when they are on my side, as Erlande is. He nods and goes back to his sea creatures. He does not see that since most mortals live on land, then the battles between Dark and Light must of necessity take place here.

I will ignore any mocking letters I get from you, or from the creature that says it is you. Of course you cannot help it if the Dark that controls your mind makes you write such things! You might have to fight a long battle, but know that I am here for you, and so are all the other powers of Light.

You must come to me before the turning of the year. Then we may make the plans for the coming year. It will take a season’s cycle to free you of the Dark’s influence, at least. Come with your escort of picked priestesses near the turning of the year, and make sure that you are at the Orlathian border, near the city of Corlinth. I will instruct some of my children to wait for you in the city, and when you enter, then they will recognize your power and protect you.

Good luck, my sister.

Elle.
