Let the Sun Shine Again
By: Cheyenne Taylor Age: 12 Issued: July 25, 2003

How do I explain
This feeling that you bring
It isn't very good
But I just can't escape
I thought I'd lost you forever
And to tell the truth I was glad
But now that you're back here
I'm reliving the nightmares I've had
I'm trapped in my own insanity
I'm drowning in my tears of pain
Your face scares the life out of me
And your voice is like acid rain
For all the times I've openly cried at the stars
And all the times I could not scream
When I just wanted to curl up and die
And all the times you haunted my dreams
I thought I'd lost you forever
And to tell the truth I was glad
But now that you're back here
I'm reliving all the nightmares that I've had
I'm trapped in my own insanity
I'm drowning in my tears of pain
You face scares the life out of me
And your voice is like acid rain
Nobody's held their hand out for me
Everyone just thought I was crazy
Well I wasn't faking those burning tears
You stand for all of my horrid fears
How can I survive again
Whoa
I'm trapped in my own insanity
I'm drowning in tears of pain
Your face it scares the life out of me
And your voice is like acid rain
It penetrates my brain
So please
Let the sun shine again
