When the rain pours down
And the moon shines so bright
I come back to this life
And I remind those who were close
They say I was too young
But I knew I couldn't go on
Because my life was falling apart
It disturbed all the children
And it scared the people on the street
Knowing that there are people
Who are just as crazy as me
Maybe it was moon
Or maybe it was the rain
But it was the perfect night
To relieve my tired brain
Knowing that she was gone
So young just a child
And knowing I could've stopped it
It made me want to die
So I listened to my feelings
And let the wind blow my soul away
I flew down that old back road
Tears in my eyes, but I couldn't stay
My guilt blocked all the reasoning
Many ribbons of black replaced the sky
I had to get away so I could be happy
I can't survive with all those ties
Holding me down
It disturbed all the children
And people on the street
Knowing there are people
Who are just as crazy as me
Maybe it was the moon
Or maybe it was the rain
But it was the perfect night
To relieve my tired brain
Oh my life was done
It was time to move on
I'll see her again now
Some way some how
Just don't go on that old back road
On a rainy night
