Sometimes I'll walk down the street
Things will seem to go back in time
I feel so upside down
I remember happier days
When we could walk down these tired roads
And talk for hours and hours
But now everything's changed
And I can't look at this place for a while
But I guess it's just another loose stone in the ground
Things don't matter at first
Then they're everything to you
You'll say you don't care
Then when it's too late
You'll go and say you do
That's just the way it is
I know your troubles
Don't worry it'll be alright
I know these troubles too
They haunt me in the night
Prehistoric memories
Walking up the road
It looks and feels so weird
Now we're all a world apart
But I still hear the voices in my head
The gang's all gone
So I trip and fall
But I guess it's just another loose stone in the ground
Things don't matter at first
Then they're everything to you
You'll say you don't care
Then when it's too late
You'll go and say you do
That's just the way it is
Oh, life is just so different now
Now that you're all gone
My mind races with the photographs
That have lasted just too long
I never thought it would be this way
No one ever said it would be this hard
But I guess it's just another loose stone in the ground
Things don't matter at first
Then they're everything to you
You'll say you don't care
Then when it's too late
You'll go and say you do
That's just the way it is
Another loose stone in our ground
