A/N: Okay, okay. You asked for more poems like Tragedy Sells, so here you are. This one is a tad soppier, though. I was in a mood. Well, read and tell me what you think. (btw, I wrote this poem with one of my favorite fanfic slash couples in mind... a cookie if you guess right)

***

it's raining outside

but you have to stay in

otherwise you might catch cold

so just sit by your window

and listen to the rainfall

music for your eyes, you told me once

but even more harmonious on your other senses

today the sky is dark

a contradiction to your swirling grey eyes

but i like it when the insipid sky

plays memory match with your pale perception

at the moment, the rain isn't just drizzling

toss it down

the sky has opened up

and showered you with heartache

as if you didn't have my share already

my poor beauty

but the rain is gentle, you say

it is the sun who is never kind

your words know only truth

for i am summer

and you, winter

we are polar opposites, they told us

and you know what they taught us in school

opposites attract

shit, were they right

but, oh

we're a jigsaw puzzle

and they know that we fit like no one else could

without one piece, we're incomplete

and you're the only other piece that finishes the picture

but i know you love the rain

and the puddles miss you, dear

so, when i'm not looking

throw open the window

and escape into the heart of the storm

but leave your rubber boots by the door

and we'll be waiting for you when you return
