Pitch White

Darkness recedes to light,

The morning spark of power,

Like a volt of white hot electricity,

My heart pounds instantaneously.

In this fiery cauldron of emotion,

My mind floats out of comprehension,

All feeling mingles and dissipates,

There is everything and it is nothing.

My body is racked with pain,

Convulsing wretchedly as I speak,

Those words to say I hate you,

But as I breathe I love you.

Your eyes are out of focus,

Blind to anything around outside,

Or even what’s inside of you,

You’re deaf to my words.

Perhaps it is the way to be,

As I lay incased in white,

Invoking this withering agony,

That you should never know me.

For as light can become night,

White can mingle with black,

Blotting me from view,

An unsubstantial shadow.
